Date April, 1971 Completed School Final at CALCUTTA (HIGHER SECONDARY) from M.G.Rungta Academy in first class with physics,chemistry,maths and Hindi/English Optional Bengali/Mechanics ... SELECTED for engineering at IIT kharagpur/BHU-IT, varanasi and Jadavpur University, Calcutta. Joined BHU-IT in 5-years chemical engineering course. Date May,1977 Completed bachelor's B Tech degree in Chemical Engineering from Institute of Technology, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi in first class with Cellulose, Rubber and Polymer processes as specialization. August, 1977 to end 1980 Industrial Training in Bell's Control, Calcutta, Kanoria Chemicals Industry in process control management and vocational training in J.K. Rayon process industry. Selected in competitive exams such as SAIL,IOC,NELCO,IIFT & OTHER Management/ Institute's MBA courses. 1981 to 1982 worked in Kemrub P Ltd., Calcutta in production and process / quality supervision & developement as an associate. 1983 to 1984 Research Associate in department of chemical engineering, I.T.BHU,varanasi- preparation of Industrial chemical projects and Plant & equipment engineering laboratory works 1985 to 1986 worked in Manav Chemicals P Ltd., Calcutta in production and process / quality supervision & developement as an associate. 1986 to 1989 Joined Hartex Rubber Ltd., HYDERABAD as an associate. April 19, 1986 Married. June 1988, passed Grade II Amateur radio/ham exams. September, 1989 Nominated as Chartered Engineer (India), by Institution of Engineer's (INDIA) at Calcutta. March 1989, completed one year correspondence course in Advance Management Diploma (EKS- Energo Cybernetics Strategy) from Baroda Productivity Council, Baroda. Attended workshops in CAD of Heat Xchangers and Lateral Thinking (Creativity). 1990 Worked as Project Associate in Administrative Staff College of India, Hyderabad- Project on Energy Management Practices in process Industries (conservation aspects). September, 1990 attended first 10-days Vipassana course at vanasthalipuram, Hyderabad. 3rd March, 1987 blessed with a son. 1991 to 1993 Worked as Resident Engineer / coordinator for Baroda Productivity Council,Baroda/ Impetus Inc., Madras. Selected as annual member in IEEE.Inc. and Affiliate member of Institution of Chemical Engineers, London. 1994 to 1996 Executive R & D / Project Coordinator in ABC India Ltd. Hyderabad. Technical services (Research & analysis), supervision, quality control assignment, plant engineering services, problem solving of/at site works, liaison, co-ordination of plant equipments, machineries and utilities etc. Selected as a HMA member-attended workshops/seminars and talks at HMA. Completed cppro training in Software Applications, Intend to take up software development jobs alongwith plant/process engineering jobs, which I was already doing. Personal impressions/experiences... I have varied experiences in industries in the field of technical/quality/process and production management. And, I feel IT can be profitably utilised for Optimising/improvisation and continuous improvement. I have enjoyed every moment / bit...byte of my workout in cppro/compulearn, since I joined cppro and learned a lot by hands on practice rather than theory/lecture sessions.
